What exactly is Fabelia?
A mobile app for iOS and Android. It takes public-domain classics — the fairy tales and short stories no longer under copyright — and offers each as a 5–8 minute retelling with AI narration in four languages. You listen with synchronized text, or read it yourself in silence.
How does pricing work?
Free to start. Adult readers receive daily credits; one credit unlocks a story permanently, in every language and mode — there is no separate charge for listening versus reading. You can buy credit packs, or subscribe for $4.99/month for unlimited access and offline downloads. Younger-reader accounts get a fixed daily allowance with no timers.
Is it safe for children?
Yes. The younger-reader level has simpler text and concrete-recall questions. Those accounts receive no notifications, have no points or rewards, and every purchase attempt is blocked by a parental gate — a freshly generated single-digit sum you have to type in.
Can I use it to learn a language?
That is a core use. Every story exists in Turkish, English, Russian and Spanish. Switch languages at any point and your position moves with you; completion is tracked separately for each language, so you can work through a title four times.
Do I need an internet connection?
You need a connection to browse and open stories. With a subscription you can download stories for offline listening.
